Okay, here goes: after two years of guiding and existing on the water, I'm going for a long, involved expedition. This summer, if all goes well, I'll be paddling the Inside Passage from Washington to Alaska. Just writing that gives me the jitters.
Really, why not?
Less flippantly, I've been honing my kayaking skills (and personal finances) for a few years now, and I feel ready for a longer endeavor. Thus far, the longest trip I've done is five days, and I'm ready to bite off a bit more.
